Weighage

WeighageMerchant law. In the English law it is a duty or toll paid for weighing merchandise; it is called tronage for weighing wool at the king's beam, or pesage, for weighing other avoirdupois goods.

In such case, the plaintiff after stating the injury, continues, the defendant well knowing the mischievous propensity of his dog, permitted him to go at large. Vide Scienter.
