Severability clause

Severability clauseA clause in a contract providing that even if one clause is found to be illegal or invalid by a court, the others are still operative and must be complied with.

Contracts. A particular disposition which makes part of a treaty; of an act of the legislature; of a deed, written agreement, or other written contract or will.
