Sample
SampleContracts. A small quantity of any commodity or merchandise, exhibited as a specimen of a larger quantity called the bulk. RELATED TERMS-------------------------------------- Quantity Pleading. That which is susceptible of measure. Commodity Convenience, privilege, profit, gain; popularity, goods, wares, merchandise. Merchandise By this term is understood all those things which merchants sell either wholesale or retail, as dry goods, hardware, groceries, drugs, &c. It is usually applied to personal chattels only, and to those which are not required for food or immediate support, but such as remain after having been used or which are used only by a slow consumption. Specimen A sample; a part of something by which the other may be known. Bulk Contracts. Said to be merchandise which is neither counted, weighed, nor measured. When a ship and cargo, or any part thereof, are saved at sea by the exertions of any person from impending perils, or are recovered after an actual abandonment or loss, such persons are denominated salvors; they are entitled to a compensation for their services, which is called salvage.
