Rabel, ernst

(1874-1955).Professor of Law at the Universities of Leipzig, Basel, Kiel, Gottingen, Munich, Berlin, Ann Arbor and Harvard. In 1926, Rabel was the first Director of the Kaiser Wilhelm (now known as Max Planck) Institute for Foreign and International Private Law in Berlin. He was also a member of the Institute for the Unification of Private Law in Rome.
