Qualified indorsement

A transfer of a bill of exchange or promissory note to an indorsee, without any liability to the indorser; the words usually employed for this purpose, are sans recours, without recourse.

Transfer
Contracts The act by which the owner of a thing delivers it to another person, with the intent of passing the rights which he has in it to the latter.

1) Legislation. An instrument drawn or presented by a member or committee to a legislative body for its approbation and enactment.
