Naufrage

Traditionally, nautical assessors have not been subject to examination or cross-examination by the parties to the suit, nor has the judge been required to disclose to the parties the information or opinions provided to him by them. In Canada, however, these traditional rules have been departed from on grounds of respect for natural justice, and expert witnesses may now also be called by the parties, even if they testify on matters within the expertise of the nautical assessors.

The maritime measurement for distance, being 6080 feet, as opposed to 5280 feet, being a land mile. Also known as a knot (supra).

Non Circumvention/Non Disclosure Agreements ensure that the intermediaries in the transaction are not cicumvented and excluded from the transaction by the Buyer and/or Seller and/or the other intermediaries.

He did not deliver. This is a plea in detinue, by which the defendant denies the delivery to him of the thing sued for.
