Milestone

MilestoneA point after a job is started and before it is completed at which an approval or re-evaluation is made by participants in a contract and to which partial compensation, based on a fixed bid sum, is often tied. The milestone may be based on the passage of some specified period of time, or on the completion of some percentage of the job.
