Forum conveniens

Forum conveniensAppropriate/convenient court, referring to the principle whereby a court which would not normally have jurisdiction over a claim nevertheless accepts jurisdiction, because there is no other appropriate jurisdiction to hear the claim, in order to ensure that justice is done.
