FiliusThe son, the immediate male descendant. This term is used in making genealogical tables. RELATED TERMS-------------------------------------- Son Kindred. An immediate male descendant. In its technical meaning in devises, this is a word of purchase, but the testator may make it a word of descent. Sometimes it is extended to more remote descendants. Immediate That which is produced directly by the act to which it is ascribed, without the intervention or agency of any distinct intermediate cause.
