Censure
CensureAn official reprimand or condemnation of an attorney. RELATED TERMS-------------------------------------- Official civil and canon laws. In the ancient civil law, the person who was the minister of, or attendant upon a magistrate, was called the official. Reprimand Punishment. The censure which in some cases a public office pronounces against an offender. Condemnation Civil law. A sentence of judgment which condemns some one to do, to give, or to pay something; or which declares that his claim or pretensions are unfounded. Attorney A graduate of an accredited law school and member in good standing of the Bar Association. Only attorneys can give legal advice. The citizens of Rome were distributed into thirty-five tribes, and three persons out of each tribe were elected judges, who were called centumviri, although they were one hundred and five in number.
