Blacke booke of the admiraltyThe name given by Sir Travers Twiss to the first volume of his four-volume collection, containing a variety of medieval maritime law materials, probably first compiled in the mid-fifteenth century during the reign of King Henry VI. In particular, the Blacke Booke of the Admiralty contains a version of the Rôles of Oleron.
